Please use the form at the end if you want to get in touch; we’re happy to answer any questions you have about trainings, tournaments, the club and Ultimate in general.

But before you do, here’s a list of common questions we get asked that might be able to help you out:

Can I come along to your training sessions?

Of course! Unless specifically stated on the calendar event our sessions are open to everyone, even if you haven’t played before. While we don’t normally get enough interest to host specific beginner sessions, we do have a wide range of experience levels at the club; from those just starting out, to players who have played for years and years at the highest levels – including representing Great Britain! So whatever your level you’ll fit in at the club and there’s always lots of people to ask for advice, we offer a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels to learn and enjoy Ultimate. Get more info on our training sessions.

… Even if I’ve not played before?

Definitely! Ultimate is a sport on the rise but it’s still relatively small, which that means that there lots of people who are in a similar position, and everyone has been there at some point. So even if you’ve never thrown a frisbee before you’re welcome at our sessions, come and give Ultimate a go!

Do I need to register or anything first?

Nope, not to begin with! For your first three sessions you don’t need to have any membership or registration. After three sessions however, all our players are required to register an account with the UKU (the ‘Basic Membership’ is only £5 for a year), but until that point you can come along without registering and give it a whirl. Your first session with us is also free so you can see what you think before you need to pay anything at all.

What divisions do you play in?

We play in all of the senior Open, Womens and Mixed divisions, both Indoors and Outdoors. Basically that means we enter a lot of tournaments throughout the year, each with a different feel in terms of opposition and competitiveness, this way we can offer something for everyone. What we don’t currently do is enter any beginner specific tournaments and we also don’t have a junior division team at the moment, but all players are more than welcome at our trainings even if you don’t want to play in tournaments with us!

What sort of level are you aiming to play at?

We are aiming to play at the highest level we can, but we want everyone to get the opportunities to play and get what they want from the club. To that end, we enter a lot of tournaments over the year aimed at many different levels, so there will always be something for you. The culmination of our season is Tour (What’s ‘Tour’?!) and Outdoor Regionals/Nationals, where we want to finish as high as possible, but we still enter multiple teams to get as many people involved as we can. Take a look at our previous results to get an idea of the tournaments we enter!

Hopefully the answers above help you get a feel for what we’re about – but if you have any other questions, please feel free to get in touch with us below and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
